This contract position will focus on testing and troubleshooting novel sample collection and diagnostic devices using Seventh Sense’s proprietary technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing materials and assisting in pilot clinical studies as well as performing wet chemistry analytical assays on the collected samples. You will work with a team of individuals to develop and optimize the device geometry, composition, and functionality.
This position will be hands-on, and the successful candidate must have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. The candidate is expected to make scientific contributions to a highly functional and talented team. The candidate must be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy interacting with people of diverse backgrounds to solve complex engineering problems. The position is for a minimum of 6 months with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
A B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or Bioengineering is required. Experience performing wet assays, close attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in lab are required. Knowledge or experience with biological fluids and physiology is beneficial. Experience with molecular assays such as PCR is a plus. Strong team work and organizational skills are expected. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary.
